Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Psalms 143:8 NIV
Life is not a bed of roses, they say.
In life, hurt and pain seem to be inevitable. After the hurt we are left in pain, pain that sometimes heal without leaving a scar other times, the pain goes away but we are left with the scar as a reminder.
Like a designer’s dress, at the beginning it is cut into several pieces and it looks like there is no hope for these pieces. The pieces may be disjointed for a long time but when the dress is finished you get something beautiful out of so many scarred parts. The dress may have seen and hidden seams that remind you of where the joinings happened but now they no longer matter because they all make up one beautiful dress.
There is someone I know who has seen it all and I bring to you the reassurance that He has got your back no matter where you are now in life or the state of your scar. He has scars that will never go away. Scars that remind Him daily that you are here and that He died for you. He has got eternal scars.
16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NLT
Find rest dear one because, Jesus knows about you. The creator of the universe is highly interested in you. Let Him write your story. He is not just reliable, he is the Author and Finisher and when he finishes with you, your scars will be for His glory!
